Just for Students
Being apart of The Future Leaders Institute (FLI) is FREE for all program participants. Students in grades 9 -112, who attend high school in Durham County, NC may apply anytime during the year to become a program participant.
To apply for this program, students should complete the student regisration form below.
As a program participant, our Future Leaders have access to:

Educational Workshops;

Career Development; and other

Special Events and Programming (e.g. Emerging Scholars Conference, Saturday Events, College and Cultural Tours, etc.)

The Emerging Scholars Conference
The Emerging Scholars Conference is an annual, one (1) day, back-to-school learning event for high school scholars and their parents. Hosted by The Future Leaders Institute, Inc., and sponsored by community driven corporate and individual sponsors, the goal of ESC is to get students excited about going back to, suceeding in, and graduating from high school.
ESC is a community-wide event and it's success depends on the community in which it serves. Great things are happening in Durham, and The Emerging Scholars Conference is one of them! Students should register today for the next conference - an opportunity to listen to speakers, participate in free workshops, and take home resources and other conference giveaways.

PARENTS CORNER
We, at The Future Leaders Institute (FLI), believe that every parent plays an important role in the overall development and success of children. Not only do we build Future Leaders, but we empower their parents.
As children grow, the need for parents to be apart of their child's educational journey is critical. Through this understanding we provide parents with the tools and strategies to inspire them to be supportive and engaged with their children during our Parent Education Workshops.
